The media sterilizer is an autoclave with mixing capabilities during the process of sterilization at 121 deg C. The unit can after the sterilization period have elapsed, automatically switch a solenoid valve, which will open cooling water to cut down on the time of the cooling cycle. Once the pre set dispensing temperature is reached, the solenoid closes the cooling water and the system is ready to dispense the media via a peristaltic pump. The max pump rate is 25ml per second.

The time and pressure can be pre selected up to a max temperature of 125 Deg C.

Mounted on the head is a analogue pressure and temperature gauge, a vacuum breaker as well as the stopcock leading to the peristaltic pumps for dispensing.
